Dean named for the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. Texas A&M physician leader has been named dean of the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine. William Pieratt, DO, has been appointed dean and chief academic officer of the Burrell College of Osteopathic Medicine in Las Cruces, following an extensive national search managed by Anthem Executive. Pieratt, an internist, is currently an associate dean at the Texas A&M College of Medicine, overseeing the Bryan-College Station clinical campus and more than 100 faculty and staff members. In addition to his dean duties at Texas A&M, Pieratt serves as interim chair of the Department of Primary Care & Population Health, as well as the medical director of the A&M Integrated Medicine (AIM) Program.

Anthem Executive places the next CEO of the Texas Association of Business – Glenn Hamer – Following a nationwide search conducted by Anthem Executive, the Texas Association of Business has selected Glenn Hamer as their next CEO. Glenn has served as the president and CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 14 years and has focused on increasing Arizona’s competitive standing by advocating for major economic development packages that included reducing the corporate income tax and lowering the commercial property tax assessment ratio. We congratulate Martin Jung for being selected as the Chief Audit Officer of Premera Blue Cross.  Jung was formerly the Chief Risk Officer of  Univar Solutions, a global leader in specialty chemical and ingredient distribution. Prior to that he was a Principal of KPMG  where he led a high-growth professional services practice through excellence in delivery of risk management and audit services.

Sonja Feist-Price appointed University of Michigan-Flint Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs…  Following a nationwide search conducted by Anthem Executive, the University of Michigan Board of Regents approved Sonja Feist-Price, a professor at the University of Kentucky, as the next provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Michigan-Flint. Texas A&M System Regents Name James Hurley as the next president of Tarleton State University – Following a nationwide search, led by our Anthem Executive team, The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents has named Dr. James Hurley as sole finalist to be the 16th president of Tarleton State University. Hurley comes to Tarleton from Tusculum University in Greeneville, Tennessee, where he has served as president since 2017. Tusculum is the oldest university in the state, celebrating 225 years of education.
