The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia Hires Anthem Executive for Nationwide Presidential Search – The Board of Regents of the University System of Georgia (USG) has named the two committees to conduct a national search for the next president of Clayton State University.

The Georgia Board of Regents oversees the University System of Georgia, the sixth largest university system in the United States by total student enrollment, with 333,507 students in 26 public institutions. Clayton State University is a public university in Morrow, Georgia. Anthem Executive Seeking CEO for Jewish Federation – Executive recruitment firm Anthem Executive has been enlisted to find the next president and chief executive officer for the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles (JFGLA). Leading the assignment are co-founders and consultants Michael Ballew, Scott Watson, Mike J.R. Wheless, and senior client service partner Florene Stawowy.

The Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles, founded in 1911, serves the second largest Jewish population in the U.S., and the third in the world. The University of Houston – Downtown names Dr. Loren Blanchard as Their Next President – Following a national search led by Anthem Executive’s higher education practice partners, The University of Texas – Downtown, has named Dr. Loren Blanchard as their 7th president.  The University of Houston – Downtown is part of the University of Texas system, led by of Chancellor Renu Khator.

Dr. Blanchard comes from the The California State University System, where he served as their Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs. Anthem Executive places the next CEO of the Texas Association of Business – Glenn Hamer – Following a nationwide search conducted by Anthem Executive, the Texas Association of Business has selected Glenn Hamer as their next CEO. Glenn has served as the president and CEO of the Arizona Chamber of Commerce and Industry for 14 years and has focused on increasing Arizona’s competitive standing by advocating for major economic development packages that included reducing the corporate income tax and lowering the commercial property tax assessment ratio. Sonja Feist-Price appointed University of Michigan-Flint Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs…  Following a nationwide search conducted by Anthem Executive, the University of Michigan Board of Regents approved Sonja Feist-Price, a professor at the University of Kentucky, as the next provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at the University of Michigan-Flint. A licensed psychologist, Feist-Price also is a certified rehabilitation counselor, licensed professional clinical counselor, and trained mediator.

 

The Nevada System of Higher Education (NSHE) Board of Regents appoints Dr. Keith Whitfield as UNLV’s new president.  Dr. Whitfield becomes UNLV’s 11th permanent president and the first Black president in the university’s 63-year history.  Dr. Whitfield, previously served as the provost and senior vice president of academic affairs and a professor of psychology at Wayne State University in Detroit.  https://www.unlv.edu/news/release/nshe-board-regents-selects-new-unlv-president. Anthem Executive Places Kerry Murphy Healey as the inaugural President of the Center for Advancing the American Dream in Washington, D.C. – Following a national search Kerry Murphy Healey, Ph.D., an internationally recognized leader in higher education and public policy, will become the inaugural President of the Center for Advancing the American Dream in Washington, D.C., Milken Institute CEO Michael Klowden announced today. https://milkeninstitute.org/articles/kerry-murphy-healey-lead-center-advancing-american-dream   Now under construction in several historic buildings on Pennsylvania Avenue across from the White House and the Treasury, the Center for Advancing the American Dream is part of the Milken Institute. With a planned opening in 2022, the Center will offer a broad array of programs, educational events, research initiatives, and physical and online exhibits, bolstered by an extensive multimedia collection. The Center will also include a vibrant conference venue.

New Leadership, NMSU Chancellor and President Praised for First Enrollment Increase Since 2010 – On September 26, 2019, New Mexico State University’s new leadership celebrated some encouraging figures on student enrollment. Texas A&M System Regents Name James Hurley as the next president of Tarleton State University – Following a nationwide search, led by our Anthem Executive team, The Texas A&M University System Board of Regents has named Dr. James Hurley as sole finalist to be the 16th president of Tarleton State University. Hurley comes to Tarleton from Tusculum University in Greeneville, Tennessee, where he has served as president since 2017. Tusculum is the oldest university in the state, celebrating 225 years of education.
